Workplace Resource

Community Involvement

At Workplace Resource we want to create more than great places to work; we want to be a part of creating great communities! We believe that everyone has a role to play in this and we work every day to put this philosophy into action.

Fostering partnerships between businesses and community resources is one way we maximize resources and realize benefits that would be difficult to achieve singly. Other efforts include employee volunteerism, product donation, in-kind donations and financial donations.

Employee Volunteer Program

We understand that our support of non-profit organizations that provide services is a foundational component of a strong community. We believe that by providing volunteer outreach opportunities for employees, our presence and impact on these initiatives will be strengthened. Through our “Giving Matters Employee Volunteer” Program, employees are encouraged to go out into their communities and volunteer. They are provided up to 8 hours of paid leave per year to volunteer. They may engage in these activities on an individual basis or through one of our many group volunteer events. To further show our commitment to these community service based activities, Workplace Resource will also make a matching contribution of $21.79 per hour for every volunteer hour completed by a Workplace Resource employee.

United Way Campaigns

Employees are able to make contributions on a payroll deduction basis to any of the many agencies support by local United Way affiliates.

Season of Giving Campaign

During the holiday season, October through December, we as an organization are particularly resolute in our effort to give back to the community. During this period we host a number of activities that allow employees to give back including “adopting” a family in need through the “Any Baby Can” organization. Creation of “Canstruction” Christmas Trees made entirely out of a canned good and non-perishable food which is donated to the local food bank. And donation to a local non-profit suggested by and voted upon by employees in each office.
